I was invited to take my clay to a very special party held after hours at The Chelsea Flower Show last month hosted by The Financial Times and The Newt Somerset, and the events theme was a celebration of so many of my favourite things they inspired a new capsule collection of hand built pieces.
The result is a playful series of jugs and “ruin” inspired columned vases that bring together so many interests and musings. Each piece is hand built so is unique in its characteristics, with the lettering individually stamped then hand painted in a dark glaze. The body of the vessel has been left unglazed to give a raw finish to the pieces.
